Life can put uneven stress on our bodies. Pilates helps to rebuild deep core stability and increase body awareness. It helps to unwind twists and even out sides, bringing us closer to symmetry. Strength exercises, combined with movement and breath patterns improve functional alignment, facility, flow, and balance. Big Red Pilates hits the reset button for your body and mind.

I feel that movement heals, that movement is a meditation, and movement combined with breath sooths the nervous system. When working with me, you will experience a deep focus on quality and intention of movement, my hawk eye for alignment, laughter, and the joy of being in your body. I bring a lifetime of study and practice, along with over 20 years of instructing complementary forms - ballet, contemporary dance, and yoga - to my hybrid teaching style. I enjoy working with varied bodies and different needs. I love helping clients of all ages, be it to recover from injuries and surgeries, prepare for birth, or to cross train athletes and artists to enhance their performances.
I hold a BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts and an MFA in Choreography from Sarah Lawrence College. I completed my training in STOTT Pilates during 2015-2016, and was fully certified in August of 2017.
